One Wish: The Holiday Album Reviews:
All About Whitney. 4 Star Review
2009-12-03 - In order to appreciate Whitney's Christmas, you have to just accept the fact that Miss Whitney is going to make every christmas song HERS. I noticed she purposely tweaked EVERY song to fit her creative vision, so if you expect to "sing- a-long" to some old holiday favourites, you may as well forget it. Whitney purposely drags on almost every note to each word in the lyrics and it seems like she was gunning for the "I Will Always Love You" effect. It's a bit much and it borders on Whitney showing off her vocals. There are moments when you want to say "damn Whitney, will u just sing the song". You literally cannot sing-a-long to any of these songs without Whitney changing it up, twirling notes and ooh lording throughout. This cd does grow on you eventually but it's something you have to mentally prepare yourself for and just accept. It's a strange, mystical affair and it almost sounds as if Whitney was high in some of the recordings, like "Little Drummer Boy" where she goes on forever with the "pah rump pah pump pah's". The best tracks are the more religious songs "Who Would Imagine A King" and "O Come Emmanuel". Here Whitney just sings the songs and keeps it simple. Overall it's a cute, intense holiday recording, but it's all Whitney's.

Please Have Some SnoooOOOoooOOOooow and MistletoooOOOoooOOOoooe... 1 Star Review
2009-11-21 - There's not one single note of joy or warmth or sincerity to be heard on this miserable excuse for a Christmas record. Whitney's singing is every bit as stagnant as the second rate r&b arrangements that desecrate these once beautiful Christmas standards. Being the greedy songbird that she is, her voice has a tendency to go all over the place, as if her wet finger were stuck in an open light socket. The end result is a crass and tactless product, a pathetic excuse to wring a few bucks out of her hopelessly adoring fans during the holidays. I have One Wish as well. That Whitney never makes another Christmas album. Ever.

FABULOUS CHRISTMAS CD 5 Star Review
2008-11-17 - Wow Whitney sounds so great on this CD, it really is one of my favorite Christmas CD's of all time!!! Just wish she had more songs on the CD :)It was deff. worth buying!

Excellent Whitney Houston Christmas Music 5 Star Review
2008-01-12 - It is great easy listening Christmas C/D, will be looking forward to the next one.

Love Whitney 5 Star Review
2007-12-20 - I bought this album in spite of the lukewarm reviews. I was not disappointed, however, Whitney's voice certainly struggled a lot on the high notes. This is not classic Whitney (talentwise), "Saving All My Love for You", "The Bodyguard" soundtrack, etc...Whitney of the 80's/very early 90's or when she made everyone cry when she sang "The National Anthem" at the Superbowl...way back when. But if you love Whitney the artist then you can overlook her career setbacks and appreciate this album which I did.
