2007-04-05 - I hate the original. I'll be point blank. I think it's trash. I didn't know what Will was thinking with that version. But then I remembered the MIB2 (Black Suits Comin) song...and then it made sense.

Then I heard the R&B Remix to Switch, and I was hooked. THIS is what Will Smith is good at, this style is perfect for him and leaves him at the top of his game. I don't think it's a sampled beat, or if it is, it's a very minimal sample, because I don't recognize it. It's just good.

Growing Up With Will Smith
2005-08-19 - Will Smith, there are so many ways to describe him-he's funny, cute, a great actor/performer, etc. He has been one of my all time favorite actors, and performers since I was a little girl. All the way back to when The Fresh Prince of Bellaire came on TV. Everything he does, he does well, no matter if it's music, acting, or even something has simple as an award show. I would have to say he is one of the best in Hollywood.

The song Switch, as so many know is an all out good song. I dance to it in my car as I'm cruising down the street, dance to it in the club; I even have my five year old jamming to it. It's one of those songs that just makes me want to move, and be happy all at the same time. There is a good vibe I get from the song Switch; I also feel the goodness from the artist. I don't see many artists out now days that I feel comfortable letting my kids listen to, and Will Smith is one of the good ones.

I notice that no matter what, Will Smith never loses his cool, and always takes things with a smile on his face. Mr. Smith seems to always stay focused on whatever it is he is doing, and while having fun stays very professional. Even though the song Switch is more of a clubbing and an up beat song, there is nothing obscene within it. The song is just for hanging out and having a good time, I personally enjoy it very much.

Will Smith has grown up with so many of us young adults, and a lot who have idealized him. Will, even though in the big spotlight, has never changed his ways. He is still the goofy kid with the big ears, just in a grown mans body. Will hasn't turned in to the typical movie or music star, where the high life gets to them. I believe he will always be the same great artist, and hopefully he will continue down the path he is taking.

I believe the song Switch is one of those songs that people of all ages can enjoy. Will Smith is going to be around for a long time coming, whether it's in music or movies. Anything he does professionally is good in my eyes, and I will continue to be a supportive fan for him. Everyone should listen to the song Switch at least once, and I bet heads will be bobbing.
