WAHLBERG IS CHILLING AS THE PERFECT BOYFRIEND WHO TURNS OUT TOBE THE PERFECT PSYCHO IN THIS NAIL-BITING LOVE-GONE-WRONG SHOCKER.

    Description of Fear:
Two years before he let it all hang out in Boogie Nights, former rapper and Calvin Klein underwear model Mark Wahlberg played the psychotic boyfriend in this derivative but surprisingly effective thriller, aptly described by producer Brian Grazer as "Fatal Attraction for teens." Reese Witherspoon plays Nicole Walker, the unwitting teenager who gets the hots for David McCall (Wahlberg). David only seems like a nice guy until he gets upset by the girl's overly protective father. That's when hell breaks loose and the love-struck Romeo turns into a deadly threat who just won't go away. You'd think this kind of material would be beneath the talents of a fine director like James Foley (whose credits include At Close Range and Glengarry Glen Ross), but Foley gives the film just the right blend of style and tension to match Wahlberg's breakthrough role as an all-too-believable teenage maniac. You might feel silly afterwards, but don't be surprised if you find yourself getting caught up in the expertly manipulative suspense. --Jeff Shannon

    Fear Reviews:
    Fear 5 Star Review
2009-11-20 - Mark Wahlburg played the stalker boyfriend role perfectly in this film. Alyssa Milano also shines through in her role. This movie is very intense and has a fantastic ending. I recommend this to anyone who wants to be spooked.

    OMG... Help 5 Star Review
2009-10-02 - When I see this movie all I think about is what if my daughter fell for this kind of guy. The thing is I know most young women will fall for this kind of guy, until they get badly hurt a few times and hopefully make it back to the light.
How do you raise a girl to avoid this kind of guy???

    Good Movie 5 Star Review
2009-09-27 - I never expected for this movie to be good but i was wrong and really enjoyed it. Mark did a great job in this movie and so did reese witherspoon and Alyssa Milano.
This is the perfect movie to show people that you should really get to know the person before dating because believe it or not people like this really exist. So you want to enjoy a good movie you should watch "Fear." I would also recommend this movie to all those little girls out there that enjoy dating tough guys like David McCall and learn about the consequence of Love at first sight.

    Good Entertainment 3 Star Review
