Nine Inch Nails (abbreviated as NIN) is a critically and commercially successful American band formed in Cleveland, Ohio circa 1988 by Trent Reznor, who is the only consistent member. As producer, singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist, Reznor has remained solely responsible for the musical direction of the band.
